Aw, guys ^-^ I drop by by coincidence, and I find birthwishes, even though I haven't been on the forum for... a little less than two years I think. That is so nice!

@Pandora: please don't feel bad! I don't even remember what it was about xD
I know I had my spats with several people, but I hope they are forgotten now. Except maybe for a thing or two that we learned from them, otherwise it would be even more sad.
Anyway, please don't feel bad any longer. And thank you for thinking about my birthday!

@Sekoiya: It's not all bad: by inventing things that make you money, you get money. You can use that to invest in research that helps the world. Unfortunately research that helps the world seldom makes money, but you do need money to do the research: fancy equipment, expensive materials, researchers themselves need to eat, so they need to be paid, not to mention the cleaners that keep the hallways between the labs clean. Research takes a lot of money, and if you can get that by first making something people enjoy, that's really not that much of a bad thing :P

Yeah, I feel the same way, Nicnic. Sometimes I can't help but feel that the EA forum gets a little neglected. I mean, I understand Em has a very busy life, but is dropping in more than three times a year to let us know she's alright really that much to ask? :-\ I don't know, maybe I'm being unreasonable...
Everyone always loves to hear from Em, about how her projects are going, what she's working on for EA, what other things she working on, and whether the little ones are alright.
I guess I just wish I knew whether they were alright, Em hasn't left a message since January. :(

Hey guys,

Man, all that spam! Thank goodness Sekoiya is so capable with her spam-swatter ^-^

I have a request: if you have reported a spam topic, please reply to the topic to let others know you've reported it. That way I only get one mail per spam topic, instead of three, four, or (if we mods are really slow) five. :P Because sending more emails unfortunately won't make me (nor Sekoiya, I'm guessing) delete them any faster xD
Actually, I think it might make me delete them faster if I have less emails... Because if I have 20 unread spam reports, I am more likely to think the 21st is an old one as well, and not a recent report :P

This goes for spam topics alone. If it's a regular topic that you think should be reported, please keep it anonymous. :)

So if you want, reply to the spam topic. If you don't want to, that's also fine. It's just an idea ^-^

The answer to the second question is that our messages get approved automatically, we can't do anything about it :P

About your story: if your language gets censored by the website, you should probably change it into something more suitable. Bad language that originally comes from religion is also something you can better stay away from, because I know users who are uncomfortable with it.
Maybe check some approved RPs to get an idea of the amounts of violence that are allowed. Basically, stay away from the ketchup bottles and the bad horror scenes, and you should be okay ;)

Wow, that's rude... I mean, I get that you want your establishment to be pleasant to the people who come there, so no people who are f.e. loud and if someone is really smelly I also sort of understand, but this is definitely the wrong way to go about that!

Also Daegen, your spelling has improved so much!

I'm glad you guys appreciate us ^-^

Don't worry, Pony, I get upset too. The trick is not to show it in your message. Or sometimes, when people really go to far, you should show it, as long as you stay polite (i.e. don't call people names and don't swear), so they get a little shock. That helps sometimes :)

As a moderator I would allow this in both places. But I suggest putting it in Story-Telling, it will probably fit there best :)
If you want more people to check it out, you could post a thread in General Discussion to ask people to check it out. ^-^

Personally I don't think that the topic is in a wrong place  :P
on: June 10, 2014, 12:43:10 PM 10 General / General Discussion / Re: Flower's back! (i think)
Yup, then there are a lot of people above 18 who aren't responsible at all. It's quite an arbitrary line, but a line has to be drawn somewhere.  :-\
on: June 09, 2014, 02:33:22 PM 11 General / General Discussion / Re: Flower's back! (i think)
Yeah, it all has to do with laws, responsibility, etc. No one under 18, unfortunately :(
on: June 08, 2014, 11:17:48 PM 12 General / General Discussion / Re: I'm drowning in spam... help... :(
Luckily, spamming also has a good side, every now and then. I got spammed by spam reports, so I decided to come and delete some of them. Then I decided to read some posts. Then I decided to reply to some of them. And now I'm back :P

But yes, stupid spam  >:(

Aw, guys ^-^

Yeah, I guess I'm back :)
Although I won't nearly be as much on as I was before though. Life is claiming me as its own. Studies to be finished, work to be done, moving in with my boyfriend: it's all happening, and I'm still very busy. Although the real moving happens in two weeks, so I got some breathing space.

I'll try to get some moderating done every now and then, but Sophie is right: EA needs more moderators. Neither me nor Sekoiya has enough time to keep up with you lot ;)
on: June 05, 2014, 01:56:11 AM 14 General / General Discussion / Re: My life is slowly being destroyed ;-; I may even become homeless one day...
I'm sorry about your mom, Sophie, that's really sad :(

Don't worry about getting homeless quite yet though. Working people can take leave of work for a couple of days each year, to use for vacation time or family emergencies. That's probably what your dad is doing now. As soon as the sickness is over (and that will be quite soon), your sister can go to kindergarten again and your dad will go to work. Even if she can't go to kindergarten for a longer time, I'm sure there are alternatives: maybe your grandma can take care of her for a few days, maybe she can stay with neighbours, or friends, etc. You can even hire a babysitter for a while.
Don't worry, your dad isn't going to lose his job that fast ;)

Also, if you worry: talk to your dad about it, and let him explain. :)

Ugh, America. Why do people still protest against Obamacare? Here we have more proof that insurances are crucial! Healthcare gets so much cheaper and more accessible if everyone has health insurance.

I hope you'll get better, Elysa. And no matter how many people may judge you because they don't understand your illness, we on EA never will.
