I'm honestly not sure what the legal standing of fan fiction is. I stay away from all copyrighted storries and ideas when i make my doll makers and artwork. Legaly it just makes more sense to keep things safe ;) I know some authors are really bothered by it (so stuff like Pern or Vampire Chronical based stuff would be a definate no).

I am going to look into it and see if its worth the risk to the site. Sorry I'm not just giving an automatic yes, but its really not something I know much about ;)

I know that a lot of users make images based on movies and such (I have seen quite a few "Spirit" characters, etc...), so I will take that into consideration as well. :)

What is fanfiction?

It is a story about any kind of fiction(movies, games, books), but written by a fan.(its like if you write a new ending to Spirit or a continuation of the lion king)

Oh. It does'nt sound so bad or overrated, now that you say the definition of it.

Ya, I am aware of fan fiction. The problem is that it has questionable legal status. Most authors/movie makers/ etc... turn a blind eye towards it as long as the person writing it isn't making money off of it. But occasionally an author or other copyright holder gets upset about it and sues the person who was doing it. We don't actually have any money, lol, so we can't afford to fight something like that. What I'm going to do is look into other sites that allow it (like deviant art) and see what their policies are and if its something we can do too.  :)
