99% of Americans enjoy Skittles. 0.9% of Americans do not enjoy Skittles. If you're one of the 0.1% who stand in the street throwing Skittles at small children and screaming,"TASTE THE FREAKIN' RAINBOW!" then post this in your siggy.

@Sekoiya: no, you shouldn't enter, cause then I don't have chance of winning anymore! Joke, joke! You should totally enter them! ;D

I just made an awesome entry myself! (No, not the one with the mobile home, that was desperate.) It's not approved at this moment, but it is a gypsy woman reading her cards. I was inspired a little by Naudia's picture 'Tell me my Future'.

XD Actually, the citizens aren't even that fancy as pictures. They don't even have backgrounds. :P I might enter them, but I'll probably think of something else, too. :)

That girl that I liked best, the one with the star/moon pattern on her shawl and scarf, you wouldn't happen to have her in an asset? She's the perfect gypsy!

You do not know what gypsies are? Have you heard of the Romani then?

The term gypsy is a label that is put on a lot of different types of roaming peoples, including the Romani. (It isn't something that anyone one group calls themselves.)

A lot of the stuff about them in images and stories is more of a fictional stereotype... but they make for really fun looking characters that people love. I am sure some of the other members can give you lots of examples ;)

Stereotypical gypsy woman:

-Large, round earrings, silver or gold.
-Many bracelets
-A little sloppy dressed sometimes
-Colourful clothing
-Many scarves, around the head, hips, shoulders.
-Either very old, a bit of a hag or young and very beautiful.
-Reads the future by different means (reading tarrot cards, tea leaves, crystal balls and hands). Also often very good with healing herbs e.a.
-Many beads and tassels on their clothing
-Bright coloured mobile homes
-Dark hair, dark skin, dark eyes.
-Often accused of stealing or witchcraft.
-Headstrong, rebellious character
-Often seen dancing with a tambourine
-Very fond of freedom

Do you know the Hunchback of the Notredam, from Disney? The main character Esmeralda is a gypsy. Which is, I think, where the dancing with a tambourine mainly comes from.

I felt the need to put a disclaimer on Masky's story, since it uses the word 'gypsy' a lot and that theme in a probably very politically incorrect way... it goes:

"All verbal and visual references to 'gypsies' in this tale are purely artistic interpretation, and in no way point to any real cultural groups of our world. No racial/ethnic offense intended."

I know it seems a bit silly to flash that at the beginning, but the last thing I want to do is offend anyone, let alone with a created world only based on ours. They sort of use 'gypsy' instead of 'human' so I have to be careful, especially since Masky herself so often refers to the other gypsies in such a contemptuous way. I just want to let people know I'm taking their feelings into consideration. :P
