Ya, moving away from friends is always hard. (I moved quite a bit when I was younger.) But with the internet and phones its not too hard to stay in touch anymore.

When I was a kid, we didn't have the internet, but I had 24 pen pals that I kept in touch with by writing letters. It was actually pretty fun talking to friends that way. We would mail silly things back and forth. Stuff like drawings, storries, and music.

Now you could meet your friends in games, on sites like this or whirled... and there are lots of chat programs that let you use voice so its like talking on the phone but you can play games together at the same time.

You will also have a chance to meet even more friends by being in a new sitituation
