Iv'e noticed when i press the "Preview" button to see what iv'e typed,the smilies don't show up.For example,if i have this smiley: it only shows the symbol and letter used to make it.It's kinda annoying.

Hmmm.... I will let Boo know, though he probably won't look at it for a bit. There are some big forum bugs he needs to get to first. Thanks for letting us know though, I have added it to our bug list

So we looked into the smilies issue more... it seems as though preview works fine in firefox (which is why we didn't notice the problem) but its broken in IE. Boo will try to figure it out

Perhaps you should download the latest FlashPlayer or Java. It might be a common computer graphics installment problem.
