September 2008 - Wacky Fossil Contest

Welcome to our very first contest!

The theme of this contest is "Wacky Fossils". We want you guys to go use the Prehistoric Animal Maker to make some wacky fossils.

4 names have been picked out below. Just choose a name, make sure you are logged in, use our maker to make the fossil the way you think it would have looked, and save it to the gallery.

Make sure the "Image Title" is one of the names below so we know you want to enter it.

We will post your entry/entries here in this thread and add them to the poll once voting starts! You can enter as many times as you want, but you can only win one prize (We will probably also do something for 2nd and 3rd. Details on that to come later.)

The winner of this contest will have their winning image on our front page (linking to their personal gallery) until the next contest.

Guests who post entries here will have their posts moved to the "Show off your creations" forum.

Voting will happen at some point in the next few weeks depending on how many entries we receive and how many members we have.

Are you stuck and looking for an idea? Just take a name and think of what it might mean...


1. Bellucaudthero (Beautiful Tail Beast) - Maybe this creature has a super super long tail, or maybe its tail is all different colours like a peacock. Or maybe it has very pretty spikes down its tail, or even 10 different tails all over the place.

2. Hippossuchus (Horse Crocodile) - This could be a long legged creature with a crazy crocodile head. It could also be a squat lizardy thing with a horse head. Or any other combination you can think of.

3. Raptordactly (Robber Fingers) - This creature probably has long crasping claws or fingers... or maybe and extra set of sneaky hands growing somewhere strange. It might even just have lots and lots of fingers, or two reallly long ones.

4. Elasmosaur (Elastic Lizard) - LOL, I'm not sure on this one, it might be anything....... maybe its bones are all spread out, or it has a crazy bending spine. Or maybe its bones can bend any which way because of its rubbery joints.


If you are still stuck, take a look at some of the effects you can create. I have posted my last few creatures here: http://www.emeraldactivities.com/forum/index.php?topic=21.0 They are not contest entries, but they might give you a few ideas.
