Some of you know that I am working on a new story in Storytelling, called Crossover. In it is featured a distant planet in an alternate universe, called the Otherworld. My challenge is, to make me some wildlife living on that planet. All will be used at some point, when I get to the part of the story where I will use pictures. However, I will judge and choose a winner according to creativity, precision and how it suits the region it lives in. So here is some more information to be your guidelines:

On the Otherworld, there are several regions, named according to their geography. The Jag is a high mountain range, and most creatures there tend to be more drab in color with brighter markings. In the center of the Jag is a smaller area called the Stone Prison, since the region is nearly unaccessable to those outside it due to the high moutains. There the native wild magic has taken a bit of a darker tone, and things living there tend do be dully colored and sometimes vicious. The Prism is a large jungle, making up most of the land area on the Otherworld. Wildlife there are very brightly colored, and tend to have an exotic, "featherlike"
quality to them. The Peacock's Plume is a massive delta, at the end of the Blue Snake river. It is considered part of the Prism, and is also the most colorful part of the Prism. River life tends to be just as colorful as the creatures residing in the Prism. Running between the Jag and the Prism is a strip of meadowland, called the Skymeet. Bordering the Jag is also a hilly region, called the Downs. Aimals in these regions tend to be earth-toned, to blend in with the surrounding land, but some do have bright markings. The two poles are covered with dense temperate forests, named Grove North and Grove South. Wildlife there tends to be the most similar to creatures found here on Earth.
The sea is divided into three regions- the Topwaters(arctic waters), the Tropics(equatorial), and the Underwaters(antarctic).

All throughout the planet live the Dragonfolk, the only sentient race on the Otherworld. They are the Otherworldly equivalent of humans here on earth. They are shapeshifters, having two forms- a humanlike form, and a dragon form. There is a scond challenge here, to make a charactr that is of the Dragonfolk; you must provide a picture of both forms, or both in the same pic.

Cool. I did this because I realized that I didn't have many creatures living there, so I decided to do this so I could have more. All I've got so far are a fiery-colored eagle and two weasel/lemurlike creatures native to the Prism, a sea creature in the Tropics of the ocean, and a vicious man-eatind horselike creature that lives in the Stone Prison and disguises itself as an amazingly beautiful horse to lure its prey. It eats other things besides Dragonfolk, though- pretty much anything that moves.

I'm making something for the Stone Prison and another thing for maybe the Topwaters or Underwaters.
Then I'll make a dragonfolk thing :P

Species:Ackril
Region:Stone Prison
Picture:Needs to be approved
Behavior(what it eats, how it acts, etc.):An Ackril is a somewhat shy race, only revealing itself to find food or water. If an Ackril comes into contact with another species, odds are they'll end up dead or severley injured. If they find a mate, they will never have another, meaning they have life-long relationships.Fierce and loyal, these creatures are truly family protectors.

Their thin frames allow them the move quickly through the dark caverns(Is the stone prison made of a few caverns?) and to chase down prey.Other species look down upon their small size, but they have immense strength.(Think of them like an ant.)Their manes are very thin and silky, allowing them not to overheat while running or hunting.Small paws and thin but muscular legs allow nimble movements throught their habitat, making them hard to catch and easy to avoid.

Their diet consists of small animals, but when they hunt in groups they are more successful in bringing down larger prey.Rarely will you see large creature venturing into Ackril territory, for they know of they Ackrils' menacing ability to bring them down.

Hope it's alright!

Another Species~~~~

Species:Tuay
Region:Top Waters
Picture:Awaiting Approval
Behavior(what it eats, how it acts, etc.):Being Anti-Social creatures, they are often seen swimming solitarily along the surface of waters. When in need of something,it won't trust anyone. It goes to find things itself. They like to be independant. When they find a mate, they often stay with that mate until the offspring is born. The offspring will then travel with the mother, until it is old enough to travle itself.

Their coloration allows them to blend with the deep waters below them, and nearly flat bodies and broad build makes it easy for them to chase after prey.Their speed does come at a cost, however. They cannot swim fast for long periods of time,or they'll get over tired and drown.

Their diets include small whales, large fish or even sharks. They'll eat kelp if they cannot find any prey, but they'll search for meat for weeks on end before resorting to kelp.

Cool, I like them, can't wait for the pics, The Stone Prison is just a large valley, of sorts. Perhaps the Ackril can be a sort of tunneling creature, living in groups and oing tunnels through and under the mountains.

I saw the pics, and since no one else is joining, I shall declare the winners. First place, Angel's Ackril; second, Angel's Tuay. Congrats, Angel, you just won. LOL.

Yeah, you seem to have a knack for creature-making. I also made up a silly creature that I call a whybird...
