My geography teacher was talking about what Easter was today because a kid in my class had the same question. I got this answer from my teacher and I looked up some names on the Internet so it might not be perfectly accurate but, Easter is a more Christian (particularly Orthodox Christian) celebration. You see the Christians saw a festival that was about the goddess of birth, Eostre and since it was around the resurrection of Jesus Christ they adopted Easter as a Christian holiday to increase conversion.
