How does one upload GIMP-edited images back here?

You upload it to the galleries. You save the image from the maker to your computer, edit it and then upload it to the galleries.

I know I'm not Lore, but I figured I might as well answer it for her

You just have to go to one of the main galleys and it's near the bottom.

@Lore: since when am I Sunny?  Most people call me Flower, because Sunny can be easily confused with Sunnygal
Not that I mind being called Sunny though, reminds me of the spring, now that winter is finally getting through here in the Netherlands.

Ha, winter's nowhere near through here. It's just beginning, actually, it's rather a late one.

Late here as well. I was convinced it wouldn't come anymore, yet it's snowing here today. Not much luckily, I still have to get back to my hometown by train, and the train systems always suffer because of snow...

I learned why our winter is late. It's something to do with the arctic jetstreams, which normally just blow around the Arctic. But in a phenomenon similar to El Nino, once every long while they dip down a bit further south, making temperatures drop. That's happening this year, so that's why much of Europe and Asia have been facing unusually bad winters. However, a similar jetstream over the Noth Atlantic is also playing the oddball, blowing across North America  and keeping these arctic winds from hitting us, meaning we get almost no winter at all.

I don't mind It's snowing heavily now. It's beautiful, but it makes me sad as well. I had hoped to be able to go iceskating, but when it snows, it's not possible, because the ice gets bad from the snow.

It was minus 11 degrees Celsius here last night. I can't remember the last time it was that cold here.

Apperently, you haven't read a topic I made lately. I've been an entire weekend and a monday morning without water. Pipes were frozen. No shower, no flushing the toilet and no tea. Unless I got water at the neighbours.
Apart from that there is a completely new trainschedule, which makes travelling difficult for many. Luckily I don't have to travel by train to get to class, but many of my fellow students do.

In total, I'm not so mad about the cold weather.

The strange thing is though that I've had the best mood the last days, even though I was only able to take a shower monday afternoon, after I hadn't taken a shower since thirsday morning...

Oh, fun. And I absolutely hate cold of any sort; I prefer warmer climes. So my comments about 'nice fun cold stuff from polarbear land' were mainly sarcastic... Actually, extremely sarcastic.
